Visit to Aurora Battleship
This
famous battleship was launched in St Petersburg in 1903 and was the
first ship in the navy to take the side of the Bolsheviks during
the 1917 revolution. It was responsible for firing the historic
blank shot on the night of 25th October which signalled the storming
of the Winter Palace. It is now permanently moored on the banks of
the River Neva, and is a fascinating and unusual place for a cocktail party.

are possible in the park adjacent to Catherine's Palace in Pushkin, or from
Palace Square and St Isaac's Square in the city, but can only be
done first thing in the morning or early evening.
